You know those tv programs about dogs that can sense a seizure coming on, or can let their owner know that her/his blood sugar is dropping? Miracle dogs with uncanny knowledge of their beloved owner's every situation make for good television, and for fuller, safer lives for their owners.
Cats? Well, not so much.
Our little girl kitty, Truffle, does not like it when anyone sneezes. Since she has owned us, she has let us know in no uncertain terms that sneezing is just poor form for human critters. When she hears a sneeze, she snarls in a particular way that is similar to that machine-gun sound that she makes when she sees birds out the front window.
Last night, she was sound asleep on the couch when she suddenly looked up at Pillar and gave the disapproving-of-the-sneeze howl. Pillar said, "What? I didn't..." AND THEN HE SNEEZED.
She made the sound before the sneeze. It's kind of freaking me out. How did she know? Even Pillar didn't know!
She probably knows when my migraines are going to start or when Pillar's blood sugar goes wonky, but will she let us know? Maybe for some extra cat treats, but even then, it's pretty doubtful. She has a full schedule you know -- stretch, bathe, sleep, eat, sleep. I wonder if she knows what we're thinking. If so, it could help in her plot for world domination. Oh my.

That is definitely spooky!
She was trying to warn hom that it was coming! :) Who knows -- maybe she thinks we find it as distressing as she does. We screw up our faces, and look for all the world as if we are in such pain when we sneeze. she was hoping he'd choose not to inflict that upon himself.
Ah, so maybe she thinks he could stop it from happening....hmmmm. I had not thought of that.

Maybe she's allergic to humans.
I like it that cats seem to understand human moods. The cats know when to comfort us.
But before a sneeze? That's amazing!
I've heard of dogs that know when their person is going to have an epileptic seizure...but sneeze sentience, there is a new one!!
