- Dorothy has influenced me in many ways...perhaps because she was unaware of her own strengths until someone else pointed them out...perhaps because she had dreams and followed them...and helped her friends to follow theirs. I don't know, but a part of me hopes that when I look at Dorothy, I see a glimpse of myself......still following that yellow brick road. I'm a fifty-something woman who is fiercely in love with her partner of 31 years, incredibly proud of our amazing sons (they are 29 and 27), owned by one beautiful cat and grieving another one. I am the pastor of a Little Church on a Corner in Canada. Since Sept 2005 (with a few brief remissions), I have lived with Chronic Migraine/Myofascial pain. I am still working on how to maintain a healthy, balanced life. I am changed. Six years of head pain can really mess with a person's head. Because this is my blog, not his, I hesitate to say too much about it, but my amazing partner, P, lives with MS, diabetes and trigeminal neuralgia. I only mention that because if I ever need a source of strength and inspiration, he's usually right here in the same room. Life is good. God is good. Always.
